From Monday 27th April 2026 for approximately 4 months, serviced 492 and 495 will divert away from a section Noctorum Avenue between the junction of Beryl Road and the junction of Westway due to congestion and public safety concerns for the duration of the United Utilities sewer upgrade scheme.
The diversion is expected to be in place for approximately 4 months.
Service 492:
• From Birkenhead as normal to Noctorum, Noctorum Avenue, then onto Beryl Road (not continuing via Noctorum Avenue) then via Beryl Road, West Road, West Way, onto Noctorum Way and continue normal route to Birkenhead.
Service 495:
• From Birkenhead as normal to Noctorum, Noctorum Way, then onto Westway, (not continuing via Noctorum Avenue), West Road, Beryl Road, onto Noctorum Avenue and then continue normal route to Birkenhead.
Omits a large section of Noctorum Avenue.
